  • Dear Friends,
In a world that often pushes people to hide or downplay who they are, Jewish pride means standing tall in our identity. It means lighting Shabbat candles. It means speaking openly about Torah values. It means celebrating our holidays, supporting one another, and walking confidently in the footsteps of our ancestors. It means understanding that Israel is our ancestral homeland, promised to us by G-d, and it will always be ours. No matter what a coworker, colleague, or professor says.
At Chabad of Southlake, we see that pride reflected every day:
In the child who walks into Hebrew School beaming with their Aleph Champ ribbon. In the teen who takes on leadership in CTeen and helps others feel a sense of belonging. In the families who come together for holiday celebrations and Shabbat dinners. In the adults who carve time for JLI classes, Jewish Women’s Club events, or a quick mitzvah on the go.
Individually, these moments may look isolated, but added together, they become a powerful expression of our Jewish community. They’re what Jewish pride looks like, day in and day out.
As we enter the new year, please help us continue to serve this amazing community and lets inspire one another to bring more light into the world, and to show our children that being Jewish is something to celebrate every single day.
As we enter the new year of 5786, we pray for peace, safety, and revealed blessings for all of "Am Yisrael" in Israel and around the world. We wish you and your loved ones a year filled with meaning, connection, and joy, and the strength and pride to live as a Jew with confidence and heart.
Thank you for your ongoing support. We look forward to celebrating the High Holidays together and wish you a year filled with blessings, health, and happiness. May we all be inscribed and sealed for a good and sweet year of peace and prosperity.
Wishing you a Shanah Tovah u'Metukah - a happy and sweet new year.
    Rabbi Levi & Rishi Gurevitch
